- Charging ports that only work at an angle. If your laptop charges only when you hold the cable just so, the DC jack or USB-C port has loosened. On repairability the gap between brands is wide and well documented. iFixit's repairability scores rate Lenovo ThinkPad and Framework models at the top, with several 2025 and 2026 ThinkPads and Framework machines scoring a perfect 10 out of 10 because they use standard screws, modular ports and published service documentation.
